Brock Lesnar Signs Contract with the Minnesota Vikings

Th Former University of Minnesota heavyweight Brock Lesnar has signed a free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings. The former NCAA Champion heavyweight left World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in April to pursue a career in the National Football League.
A prospective defensive lineman, Lesnar signed a one-year contract on Tuesday after going through his second workout in front of Viking coaches and team personnel. Minnesota opens training camp on Friday.
Lesnar claimed the 2000 NCAA Championship and was a two-time All-American for Minnesota. A two-time Big Ten Champion, Lesnar went 55-3 in his two years with the Maroon and Gold after transferring from Bismarck Junior College.
A native of Webster, S.D., Lesnar pursued a professional wrestling career with the WWE after signing a contract in the summer of 2000. He became the youngest heavyweight champion in the world just two years later.
