Women's Tennis Opens Competition at UNLV Invitational

In singles flight one, junior Nischela Reddy moved to 4-1 on the season with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 triumph over Amanda Mang of LSU. In flight two, Ida Malmberg fell to Lauren Seaman of LSU, while Lindsay Risebrough dropped a three-set match to Oklahoma's Heather Saluri.
In flight three, freshman Jane Anderson suffered her first loss as a Golden Gopher, falling 3-6, 7-6, 7-5 to Oklahoma State's Jana Kubicikova. In flight four, freshman Marina Bugaenco moved to 4-1 with a straight-set win over Kimberly Curtis of Hawaii. Freshman Danielle Mousseau lost, 3-6, 7-5, 6-2, to Amanda Pratzel of Oklahoma. Finally, in flight six, Jenna Tellefsen lost to UNLV's Stephanie Serrano, while Shelby Rohrer advanced by default.
In doubles flight one, Reddy/Risebrough lost their first match of the season, falling 8-4 to Oklahoma's Saluri/Baker. In flight two, Malmberg/Anderson lost, 8-2, to Lykina/Griffin of Oklahoma, while Bugaenco/Mousseau fell to Ortiz-Luis/Constanti of UNLV, 8-2. Finally, Rohrer/Tellefsen lsot 8-2 to Oklahoma's Orr/Pratzel in flight six.
