Men's Golf Ties for Fourth at Husky Invitational

Individually, Minnesota placed two golfers in the top 10. Junior Josh Persons, a transfer from Kansas State who is competing for the first time as a Gopher tied for third at 2-under 214 after an even par round today. Sophomore All- American Bronson La'Cassie also carded a 72 today and finished a shot back at 1-under 215 tying for sixth.
In addition, sophomore Naill Turner struggled to a 79 Tuesday, but finished in a tie for 30th at 10-over 226. Junior Ryan Paulson had his best round of the tournament with a 73 and moved up to a tie for 35th at 11-over 227. Freshman Michael Fiedler and senior Ben Greve each finished in a tie for 41st at 230. Fiedler carded a 79 today and Greve a 75.
Minnesota returns to action on Oct. 4-5 at the Windon Memorial Classic in Chicago, Ill. The Gophers are the defending champion.
