Zoe Nagell Wins Intrasquad Race

Gold had one other runner besides Nagell that placed in the top five. Harper McConnell, a junior from Manhattan, Kansas, finished third in 19:27 to represent Gold.
Junior Lauren Williams led the Maroon Team with a second-place showing, covering the course in 19:22. Following right behind her were juniors Sarah Hesser placing fourth in 19:28, and Jen Hess finishing fifth in 19:34 for the Maroon.
It was a beautiful day for a race on the Les Bolstad Cross Country Course. Family, friends and other supporters of the Gopher Women were out to enjoy the competition and weather. Coach Gary Wilson began the event with introductions of players, coaches, trainers and other staff for a great start to the season.
Heather Horton, a junior from Chippwea Falls, Wisconsin missed the race with an injury that occurred while pole vaulting.
