WGM: Minnesota to Open Regular Season at Home Against Arkansas

Minnesota opens the 2005 season against Arkansas on Saturday, January 8. The meet is schedule to begin at 7 p.m. in the Sports Pavilion

The Golden Gophers also started last season with a meet against the Lady Razorbacks when they traveled to Arkansas for a quad meet with Illinois-Chicago and West Virginia. Minnesota is hosting Arkansas at the Sports Pavilion for the first time.

Series vs. Arkansas Minnesota placed second at the Arkansas Quadrangular last season, the only previous meeting between the two teams. Arkansas won the quad meet, scoring a 195.575, while Minnesota came in second with a 194.675. West Virginia tallied a 192.775 and Illinois- Chicago scored 189.550.
