Golden Gophers Finish Fourth At Duke Golf Classic

The University of Minnesota men's golf team finished fourth at the Duke Golf Classic in Durham, N.C. The Gophers carded a third round 292 for a total score of 4-under 860, six shots behind tournament winner Duke. The Blue Devils took the team title by one shot over Northwestern and Coastal Carolina.
Minnesota freshman Antti Ahokas fired a final round 71 to finish in a tie for second at 8- under 208. Ahokas finished seven shots behind tournament medalist Dustin Johnson of Coastal Carolina. Junior Bronson La'Cassie shot an even par 72 in the final round and finished tied for 12th at 3-under 213. Junior Niall Turner tied for 25th at 2-over 218 and senior Josh Persons tied for 27th at 5-over 221. Clayton Rask tied for 65th at 11-over 227.
