northThe University of Minnesota men's golf program was recently ranked as the 18th-best collegiate program by Golfweek Magazine in its All-Time College Rankings. The Gophers are the highest ranked northern school and the top Big Ten team on the list. Golfweek's All-Time College Rankings are the cumulative result of the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index for the past six seasons, from 1999-2000 to 2004-05, ranking every Division I program.

"It's another example of how Minnesota Golf is one of the premier programs in the nation," said Head Coach Brad James. "This ranking shows the consistency of our program over the past six seasons and its what we will continue to strive for in the future. Our goal every year is to contend for a national championship."

Georgia Tech was ranked the best team in the last six seasons by Golfweek. Although the Ramblin' Wreck have not won a national title unlike the Gophers in 2002. Georgia Tech's winning percentage and head-to-head record puts the atop the list. Rounding the top five is No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 5 Florida.
