VB: Minnesota to Have Two Televised Matches This Week

Minnesota’s match against Ohio State will be broadcast on a tape-delayed basis on Comcast Chicago on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 2:00 p.m. The match will not be able to be seen on local cable. However, it can be seen on channel 640 on DIRECTV for viewers that have the sports subscription. The play-by-play announcer will be Dave Loane, along with the color commentator Audrey Flaugh.
The Golden Gophers’ match against No. 3 Penn State will be broadcast on a tape-delayed basis on Fox Sports Net North on Sunday at 12 noon. The play-by-play announcer will be Ron Johnson, along with former Golden Gopher (2001-04) Lisa Reinhart doing color commentary.
Minnesota enters the week ranked No. 12 and is in third place in the Big Ten at 6-2. The Golden Gophers are 16-3 overall, and have won 13 of their last 15 matches. Minnesota is 6-1 at the Sports Pavilion this year and is 29-4 in Big Ten place at home since 2002.
Ohio State is in fifth place in Big Ten play at 5-3. Penn State leads the Big Ten at 8-0, and has won 19 straight Big Ten matches going back to the 2004 season.
Minnesota will also have its match against Wisconsin on Nov. 12 shown on Fox Sports Net North on a tape-delayed basis.
