Individually, the Gophers were led by senior Sarah Butler and freshman Sydney Liles with first round 77s. They are tied for 24th place two shots ahead of freshman Suvi Mantyniemi who is tied for 43rd after a 79 Monday. Sophomore Emily Brand is tied for 85th after an 86 and senior Jessica Thomas is tied for 89 after carding an 87.
The second round is tomorrow at the par 72, 5,930-yard Oak Point Golf Course.
