The Western Collegiate Hockey Association has announced that sophomore forward Erica McKenzie was named the Offensive Player of the Week for her performance last weekend. McKenzie and the Minnesota women's hockey team swept Brown last Saturday and Sunday. It is the second honor for the Hastings, Minn., native this year.

McKenzie scored a career-high four goals in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Bears. McKenzie scored a power-play goal and three even-strength goals for a four-goal game. It is the first time in her career that McKenzie has scored four goals, breaking her two-goal performance last year as a freshman. Her four netters came on just five shots attempted, producing an impressive .800 shooting percentage. McKenzie finished the weekend with a plus/minus rating of +4. She currently ranks second in the WCHA standings with 20 points on the season.

The No. 3 Golden Gophers host No. 3 and WCHA border rival Wisconsin, Nov. 18-19. Both games are slated for a 7:07 p.m. start at Ridder Arena.
