WHK: Marvin Earns WCHA Rookie of the Week Honors

RooThe Western Collegiate Hockey Association has announced that freshman forward Gigi Marvin has earned WCHA Rookie of the Week honors for her performance against Ohio State this past weekend. It is Marvin's first honor as a Golden Gopher.

Marvin was one of three Gophers to tally five points in Minnesota's 9-5 win over Ohio State last Friday night. Marvin scored a goal on one shot attempted and had four assists in the the game. Of her four assists, she set up two power-play goals. She finished the evening with a plus/minus rating of +3.

The Gophers host Brown, Nov. 12-13 at 1:07 p.m. in Ridder Arena. Saturday's game is $1 for fans arriving before the start of the game.
