Senior forward Becky Dellaria has earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. The conference office announced honorees from each team for the award, which goes to individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, the student-athletes must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

Joining Dellaria are Illinois' Karniski, Indiana's Kristen Zmijewski, Iowa's Whitney Strain, Michigan's Katelin Spencer, Michigan State's Nina Mastracci, Northwestern's Julie Lipinski, Ohio State's Melissa Miller, Penn State's Bach, Purdue's Rebecca Robison and Wisconsin's Jessica Ring. These eleven student-athletes are now candidates for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, as the conference office will honor one male and one female student-athlete from each institution at the end of the school year.

A native of Woodbury, Minn., Dellaria ranks eighth in school history with 15 assists and 11th overall with 39 points. She finished second on the team in scoring as a sophomore and tied for the team lead with 12 points as a junior. This season, she helped lead Minnesota to its first postseason appearance since 2000. Dellaria ranked second on the team with 10 points in 19 games. She is also a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
