Stephens, a co-captain from Shoreline Wash., scored a goal and three assists to help lead the Gophers to a two-game sweep of Minnesota State, February 19 and 20. The wins also gave the Gophers their second-straight WCHA regular-season title. Stephens scored two assists in the 5-0 win Saturday, including a helper on the game-winning goal. In her final home game of her career, Stephens set up the game-winning, power play goal. She then scored her own power play goal in the second period.
Stephens and the Gophers travel to Minnesota-Duluth this coming weekend, facing the No. 2 Bulldogs, Feb. 26-27 at the DECC. Saturday's game is slated for a 7:05 p.m. start, while Sunday's is a 3:05 p.m. contest. The Gophers won and tied UMD in the first meeting in November.
