Gophers Face No. 3 Michigan
The ninth-ranked University of Minnesota men's gymnastics team will face the third- ranked University of Michigan Wolverines this Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m., at the Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis. This will be the third of four home meets for the Gophers this season. Their final home meet of the season will be on Feb. 26 against No. 4 Oklahoma.
So We Meet Again
This will be the first meeting between Gopher first-year head coach Mike Burns and his former team the Michigan Wolverines. Burns was an assistant coach with the Wolverines from 1997-2004.
Gophers In The Team Rankings
The Gophers are ranked ninth in the nation for the fourth consecutive week. Minnesota is also ranked among the top 10 in every event. The Gophers are sixth on parallel bars, eighth on vault, ninth on rings, floor exercise and horse and 10th on high bar.
