WSD: Gophers Complete First Day of NCAA Diving Zones

iThe Golden Gopher men's and women's diving teams completed the first day of the NCAA Zone C Diving Regional, hosted by Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. The Gophers had three divers finish in the top 20 of their respective events. Jessica Livingston placed 10th in the 3-meter diving action with a score of 477.70. Abbie Bowden placed 16th overall in the same event, producing a score of 433.20.
In men's 1-meter action, John Schmidt had a score of 529.70, placing 13th overall. Ohio State's Mitch Richeson won the event with a score of 658.50. The Gophers continue the diving zones tomorrow, starting at 11 a.m., at the Boilermaker Aquatics Center. The men will compete in the 3-meter, while the women participate in 1-meter action. The three- day regional will conclude on Sunday with the men and women competing the platform events.
