Gophers Tally Podium Finish and Multiple Personal Bests on Day Three of Big Ten Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – The University of Minnesota women's swimming and diving program finished day three of competition at the 2026 Women's Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships at Jean K. Freeman Aquatics Center, collecting another podium finish and multiple personal bests throughout the six events.
Kamdyn Periat started off the day for Minnesota's finals session, collecting a personal best 51.97 in the 100 back in the "B" finals to place 10th overall. Ava Yablonski placed 12th overall in the event with a 52.25, and Mira Keller placed 20th overall with a personal best of 53.59.
Grace Drabot posted a personal best in the "B" finals of the 200 breaststroke, tallying a 2:11.07 to place 15th overall in the event. Keira Mullins also posted a personal best in the "C" finals, swimming to a time of 2:13.42 to place 21st overall.
Jade Roghair led the way for the Gophers in the 500 free, tallying a time of 4:48.21 to place 16th overall in the "B" finals. Katie McCarthy tallied a 4:42.32 to win the "C" final and place 17th overall, while Anja Kaljevic tallied a 4:51.00 to place 24th overall.
Livi Wanner stood atop of the "B" finals in the 50 free, earning a personal best of 21.94 to place ninth overall in the event. Morgan Thomas placed 22nd overall in the event, tallying a time of 22.54.
Elna Widerstrom reached the podium for the second night in a row, earning a second place finish in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 362.80. Vivi Del Angel tallied a fourth place finish with a score of 350.15, while Addie Albrecht tallied a 21st place finish with a score of 259.20.
The Gophers ended the day in the 400 medley relay, placing eighth overall with a time of 3:36.57. Kamdyn Periat launched the effort with a split time of 52.66, followed by a time of 1:02.33 from Keira Mullins. Morgan Thomas tallied a 52.97 in the third leg, and Mina Kaljevic anchored the race with a split time of 48.79.
The University of Minnesota remains at sixth place in the overall team standings after day three of competition with an overall score of 489. The University of Michigan remains in the lead with an overall score of 883.
The final day of competition 2026 Women's Big Ten Championships is set to kickoff from the Jean K. Freeman Aquatics Center at 10:00 AM (CT) tomorrow morning.
