SOC: Minnesota to Host the Gopher Spring Classic This Weekend

DakotThe University of Minnesota women's soccer team will host its annual Gopher Spring Classic this weekend at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. The Golden Gophers will welcome Iowa, Creighton, North Dakota State and South Dakota State. Admission is free.

Minnesota will face Creighton on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. The two teams last met during the 2003 season with the game ending in a 1-1 tie. The Golden Gophers will meet Big Ten rival Iowa on Sunday at Noon. Minnesota defeated host Iowa, 1-0, during the 2004 regular season.

This weekend's tournament concludes Minnesota's spring season.

Saturday, April 23rd
4 p.m. - Iowa vs. North Dakota State
6 p.m. - Creighton vs. Minnesota

Sunday, April 24
10:30 a.m. - South Dakota State vs. Creighton
Noon - Minnesota vs. Iowa
1:30 p.m. - North Dakota State vs. South Dakota State
