Minnesota scored 213 points to runner-up Iowa’s total of 146. The Gophers also captured the co-ed team title, combining the men’s and women’s team scores, with 370.

Redshirt freshman Liz Podominick collected two individual titles in the discus and shot put. In the discus, Podominick hoisted a career-best and NCAA regional qualifying distance of 174 feet-11 inches, the fifth best throw in school history. She added the shot put crown with a throw of 49-6 1/4.

Three other freshmen contributed field event titles. Ruby Radojac won the javelin with a throw of 141-3, while Andrea Smith placed first in the pole vault with a height of 12-7 1/4 and Liz Roehrig captured the high jump title clearing 5-5.
