SOC: Golden Gopher Coaching Staff Begins its Spring Youth Tour

The Minnesota coaching staff, consisting of Denney Wright and assistant coaches Kate Cortis and Brandon Barkus, has already worked with a number of youth clubs, including the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association and the Olympic Development Team. Other clubs include St. Croix, Burnsville, Wings, Woodbury, Tonka United, Rosemount and Edina Soccer Clubs.
In the next two months, the trio will work with Golden Valley, White Bear Lake, Fridley Heights, Orono, Waconia, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Brainerd, Rochester and Champlin Park Soccer Clubs.
In addition to the tour, the Golden Gophers will once again host a free clinic at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium with the Minnesota Women's Soccer League (MWSL) on May 14th at 8: 30 p.m. The free clinic continues a strong relationship with the Golden Gophers and the MWSL.

Following a pair of exhibition matches at Dayton and Creighton, Minnesota opens up its season at Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb., on Aug 26. The Golden Gophers will also face Drake in Des Moines on Aug. 28. Minnesota opens their home slate on Sunday, Sept. 11, against South Dakota State.
