WHK: Gophers Honored at Minnesota Twins Game

Minnesot The national champion University of Minnesota women's hockey team was honored at the May 17th Minnesota Twins game, held at the HHH Metrodome. The Golden Gophers were honored, while Natalie Darwitz threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Attending the Twins game was Chelsey Brodt, Darwitz, Whitney Graft, Krista Johnson, Erica McKenzie, Anya Miller, Andrea Nichols, Liz Palkie, Jenelle Philipczyk, Bobbi Ross, Allie Sanchez and Noelle Sutton.

The Gophers await to hear when they will be making their second trip in two years to the White House. Along with the women's hockey team, the men's hockey champion (Denver), the men's basketball champion (North Carolina) and the women's basketball champion (Baylor) will be recognized and honored by President George W. Bush at that time.
