With the joining of the Minnesota women’s and men’s athletics departments in 2002, a comprehensive review of fundraising efforts was undertaken to ensure that the development operation supported the culture of a unified program. At the same time, fundraising communication was evaluated to ensure maximum impact and recognition among both current and prospective donors. After a lengthy process of research and consultation, Intercollegiate Athletics decided to bring its fundraising efforts together under a new, unified name…the GOLDEN GOPHER FUND. For further information on the GOLDEN GOPHER FUND, please contact the Athletic Development Office at 612-625-1001.
