BB: Andy Hunter Named Third-Team Academic All-American

Last year, Hunter was named a Second-Team Academic All-American. He has also been named Academic All-District the past two seasons.
Hunter batted .324, tied for a team-high eight home runs, led the team with 47 RBI, had 17 doubles, 37 runs and .407 on-base percentage. Hunter was also named Third-Team All-Big Ten at first base, giving him all-conference honors in his first three years with the program. He also was one of five Minnesota players named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team this past week. Hunter batted .333 with five runs, two home runs and six RBI in six Big Ten Tournament games.
He ends the season 10th on the Minnesota all-time RBI list at 157, tied for seventh on the Golden Gopher career list in doubles at 50, tied for third in Big Ten career batting average at .371, ninth in Big Ten career hits at 109, tied for fourth in Big Ten career doubles at 27, tied for eighth in Big Ten career home runs at 13 and second in Big Ten career RBI at 88.
