A Message from Head Coach Brad James
At Minnesota we are very proud of our University, athletic department, and golf program. I believe that we have been successful in offering student-athletes a valuable and meaningful experience in the classroom, community, and on the golf course. Many of our players go on to work for Fortune 500 companies or play golf on the PGA Tour.
These players include:
John Harris - 1993 U.S. Amateur Champion, four-time Walker Cup participant, 1974 Big Ten Champion and Champions Tour member
James McLean - 1998 NCAA Champion, two-time All-American, 2002 Q-School runner-up and PGA Tour member
Aaron Barber - 2002 PGA Tour Q-School graduate and PGA Tour Member
Martin LeMesurier - Two-time winner on 2003 European Challenge Tour
Your experience playing collegiate golf not only will prepare you to fill these future roles, but is also something you will remember for the rest of your life. My goal is to provide student-athletes the greatest opportunity to achieve these dreams.
I hope that you will take the time to consider the University of Minnesota and learn more about our golf program and university. Our goals are to graduate with a degree and win Big Ten and NCAA championships. I hope you would like to join us. Good luck as you pursue all of your goals. I wish you the best in selecting the school that is right for you.
