WTF: Liz Podominick 17th in Discus at NCAA Meet

WedneRedshirt freshman Liz Podominick got her first taste of NCAA Track & Field Championships competition on Wednesday, placing 17th with a toss of 159 feet, 1 inch in the discus qualifying rounds. The top 12 throwers qualified to Friday’s final.
Podominick, the Big Ten champion in both the discus and the shot put, will compete in the shot put qualifying round on Thursday evening.
Sophomore Emily Brown will compete later this evening (9:35 p.m.) in the trial of the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
