WBB: Podominick Leads Big Ten All-Stars to Series Sweep

victoMinnesota junior Liz Podominick scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Big Ten All-Stars to an 88-52 victory over the Netherlands National Team in Big Ten Foreign Tour play on Thursday. Podominick, who started at the center position, continued her accurate shooting from the field going 8-for-10 in the game. The Golden Gopher posted an impressive 79 percent field goal percentage, converting 15-of –18 shot attempts, in the three-game sweep of the Netherlands National Team.

Podominick is averaging 11.3 points per game for the All-Stars, while also contributing 3.7 rebounds per game.

Following a day off for sightseeing at the Anne Frank House and the Gassan Diamond Factory, the competition will resume on Saturday in Aalst, Belgium against the Belgium National Team. The Tour will conclude on Monday with a contest in Brussels against Luxembourg.
