Year: Will be a sophomore in 2005-06
Hometown: Chaska, Minn.
Events: Competed on the beam as a freshman in 2005

What’s your favorite food? pizza

Favorite movie? Almost Famous

Favorite musical group/band? Cream

Favorite summer activity in Minnesota? Bike rides and walks

Favorite winter activity in the Minnesota? Staying inside and watching movies

Favorite class you've taken at the "U"? Human Relations - it was a cultural diversity class

Favorite sport other than gymnastics? swimming

Favorite event to compete in? beam and floor

What is one word your teammates would use to describe you? sarcastic

If you could be on the cover of any magazine, what would it be? Sports Illustrated

If you could take a vacation to any place in the world, and you didn't have to pay for it, where would you want to go? India

If you could meet any famous person, who would you want to meet? Theresa Hines- Kerry

If you won a million dollars, what is the first thing you would buy? I'd buy something nice for my parents, like a house or a car, and I'd pay my tuition

When you were growing up, who was your hero? Ma Yanhong, the Chinese gymnast

Before a competition, what do you do to prepare yourself for the meet?I go for a walk, and try to stay moving and relaxed

What is something you always pack to take with you on a road trip? Sunglasses and good music

How did you choose your major (psychology)? I think it's a really interesting thing to study, and it's not limiting. There are so many careers that I could go into with a degree in psychology, but I'm not sure yet what I want to do when I graduate

What has been the most challenging thing about your college experience? Adapting to a new routine, and a different work load

What is the best bit of advice that you’ve received from the coaches? Don't get frustrated, your bosy knows what to do.

What advice would you give to the incoming freshmen? Stay relaxed, and take one day at a time, don't get too stressed out.

What are you working on over the summer to get ready for the 2006 season? I've been tweaking my routines and fine-tuning skills. I've been working on floor a lot, I hope to compete on floor this season.

What are your goals for the upcoming season? I want to stay relaxed, and have fun, and help keep my teammates relaxed

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years? I'm not sure, other than I hope to be working.
