We haven't even been in school for a week and our team is already making progress in the right directions. On Labor Day we went out and had a whiffleball tournament with our extended basketball family. We had a great time and really started a great new bond as well. This week we've really just been doing testing, like the vertical jump, bench press and the mile. Next week we'll start off the basketball portion of our school year.
This summer almost all of us guys stayed around campus here. We all had things going on from going home to see our families to our leader Vincent Grier winning a gold medal. Things were going on all summer so guys would come and go every once in a while. However, all of us got some games in in the Howard Pulley Summer League, this was my first year playing in it and it was really a good way to stay in shape during the off season. As for lifting, our team went hard once again and we're looking good once again.
I'm sure a lot of people are wondering what's going on with my dad. I have never talked about the situation since he was let go by the Timberwolves last season, but now seems like a good time since everyone has kinda moved on. My dad is now living in Detroit where he will be coaching the Pistons this season. This is something that is tough for our family but we are so grateful for the support that the Minnesota fans have shown to our family. I actually stayed out in Detroit for a little while this summer just when my dad was getting settled in, and I am really happy for him because it is a great situation to go into. Our family thanks the Minnesota fans for everything over the past 10 years, and I look forward to letting all of you take a look into my life this season.
