• Jim Molinari moves his record to 3-2 at Minnesota, and 221-169 in his career.
• Minnesota wins the first meeting between the two schools 74-63. The Golden Gophers are 1-1 against Conference USA opponents on the season.
• Minnesota held UCF without a point for 8:48 in the first half from the 14:10 mark to the 5:22 mark. During that span, the Golden Gophers went on a 16-0 run, moving the score from 9-9 to 25-9.
• Spencer Tollackson scored in double-figures for the seventh time this season, and the 18th time in his career.
• Tollackson had his third double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
• Tollackson had three blocks on the night. It was the second time this season he had three or more blocks, and the fifth time in his career.
• Jamal Abu-Shamala had a season-high three three-pointers on the night.
• Damian Johnson made his first career start. The starting lineup of Limar Wilson, Lawrence McKenzie, Dan Coleman, Johnson and Spencer Tollackson was the sixth different starting lineup for Minnesota this year.

• Coleman scored in double figures for the 10th time in 12 games for Minnesota this year. It was the 32nd time in his career that he reached double-figures in the scoring column.
• Coleman had his first career double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds.
• Tollackson and Coleman both had double-doubles in the game. It is the first time since Jan. 18, 2005 that two Golden Gophers recorded double-doubles in the same game. In that game, Vincent Grier and Jonathan Williams had double-doubles in a triple-overtime game at Iowa.
• Coleman is 25-for-41 over the last three games for a shooting percentage of 60.9 during that span. He is averaging 24.7 ppg in his last three games.
• Limar Wilson had two steals on the night. Wilson has five steals in his past two games.
• Wilson tied a career-high with six assists on the night. It was the second game in as many games that he had a career-high in assists. The last two games he has 12 assists for an average of 6.0 apg. Wilson has 12 assists to five turnovers the last two games.
