• Minnesota is now 4-1 against Arizona State in the all-time series.
• Jim Molinari won his opening game as head coach of the Gophers. Minnesota head coaches are now 12-3 all-time in their first game as head men’s basketball coach of the Gophers.
• Molinari moves his overall record as a head coach to 219-167 all time.
• Lawrence McKenzie scored in double figures for the seventh time in his Gopher career and the 35th time of his collegiate career.
• Kevin Payton set a new career high for assists with nine. That is the highest assist total by a Gopher player since Adam Boone had nine vs. Indiana (1/29/06) last season.
• Minnesota started the second half on a 13-1 run.
• Jonathan Williams had a season high 6 points.
• Williams had his second game of the season with multiple blocks.
• Dan Coleman scored in double figures for the sixth time this season and the 28th of his career.
• The Gophers lead of 59-40 tied their largest lead of the season at 19, which occurred vs. North Dakota State (11/13/06).
• Spencer Tollackson scored in double figures for the fourth time this season and the 15th of his career.
• Dan Coleman had a career high four assists.
• McKenzie recorded his third career 20-point game.
