The purpose of the Golden Gopher Fund is to make possible world class academic and athletics opportunities for our 750 student-athletes by seeking philanthropic support from individuals and corporations. When you support the Golden Gopher Fund, you ensure the ongoing success and continued tradition of excellence for Golden Gopher Athletics.
This year your support of the Golden Gopher Fund will help to:
- Provide scholarship support to approximately 480 student-athletes
- Offer a world class academic and athletic experience for our all of our students-athletes
- Promote an environment that will produce tomorrow’s leaders, including engineers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, and business leaders
- Assist our student-athletes in graduating at a rate higher then the general student body
- Help underwrite the athletic department’s $8.8 million scholarship budget
