Gophers In 15th After Second Round of Longhorn Invite

The University of Minnesota women's golf team is in 15th place after two rounds of the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas. Minnesota carded a 327 Saturday for a two-round total of 71-over 648, 43 shots behind tournament leader Duke. The final round is tomorrow at the par 72, 6,353-yard University of Texas Golf Club.
Individually, the Gophers were led by sophmore Emily Brand who fired a 77 today and is tied for 27th at 157. Freshman Suvi Mantyiemi is tied for 36th at 159 after carding an 80 Saturday. Junior Sophie Stubbs shot an 83 in the second round and is tied for 64th at 164. Freshmen Young Na Lee and Sydney Liles are tied for 75th at 171.
