AudienceView Software Corporation, a global software company leading the shift in the way venues interact with their customers, announced today it will provide its ticketing, CRM, and fundraising solution to the University of Minnesota, one of the most prestigious universities in the United States. The University is home to over 50,000 students in more than 370 fields of study, and has thriving arts and sports programs. AudienceView will provide an unparalleled software solution to power all arts and athletics for the University.

"We’re excited about the future with AudienceView, both for Golden Gopher Athletics and the performing arts programs on campus," Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Tom Wistrcill said. "AudienceView's new, interactive, cutting-edge technology will allow us to be more efficient and provide better service for all of our customers. Both internally and externally, AudienceView is the perfect solution for all of our ticketing and fundraising needs."

The University of Minnesota has 25 men’s and women’s varsity sports teams in the Big Ten Conference and Western Collegiate Hockey Association, competing at more than a dozen major venues, and several smaller locations, on and around campus. The University is also a major contributor to the arts community of Minnesota, offering concerts, theatre, performing arts headliners, and dance performances year-round. The Northrop Auditorium, Rarig Center, and Ted Mann Concert Hall are among the venues that will use the AudienceView solution.

“We are thrilled to be working with the University of Minnesota," said Kevin Kimsa, President and CEO of AudienceView. "The University’s comprehensive arts and sports programs, combined with a commitment to providing the best services for their students and staff, make it a perfect fit for the AudienceView solution."

AudienceView will combine all aspects of arts and sports venue management into its integrated, web-based solution, including ticketing, CRM, funds management, venue management, targeted marketing, and reporting. By providing one solution for all of arts and athletics, the University will be able to maximize their resources in each separate area, while streamlining their business practices, and strengthening core operations overall.

"Providing our 'one-system-for-all' approach to ticketing for both arts and athletics is very exciting," said Kimsa. "One of our system’s biggest strengths is the funds management component, and we’ll be providing the University with a solution that brings together ticketing, CRM, and funds management – something they haven’t had in the past."

The University of Minnesota joins AudienceView’s growing client list of universities and colleges, including the Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Dartmouth College (New Hampshire), University of Wisconsin, LeHigh University (Pennsylvania), and Dalhousie University (Nova Scotia).

The University of Minnesota is one of the most comprehensive public universities in the United States and ranks among the most prestigious. It is both the state land-grant university, with a strong tradition of education and public service, and the state's primary research university, with faculty of national and international reputation.

University of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletics finished in 16th place in the final 2006 United States Sports Academy Division I Directors’ Cup standings. With their 725.25-point showing, the Golden Gophers posted their fourth top-20 finish in the Directors’ Cup in the past five years. The Gophers also finished third among Big Ten Conference institutions this year, trailing only Ohio State (12th) and Penn State (15th).
