Busack and Shaughnessy Compete in Third Day of Summer Nationals

Minnesota women's swim team continued action at the 2006 ConocoPhillips National Championships, held in Irvine, Calif. Stacy Busack led the Maroon and Gold in the 50-meter freestyle event when she clocked a time of 26.81 and tied for 47th overall. Jenny Shaughnessy competed in her third event of the summer nationals, this time in the 400 individual medley. Shaughnessy finished in a time of 4:56.03 and placed 30th overall.
Former Gopher and All-American Keri Hehn competed in the 100 breaststroke and will compete in tonight's Championship Final. In the preliminaries, Hehn touched the wall in an Olympic qualifying time of 1:10.63 and placed eighth overall.
The meet continues Friday through Saturday.
