The Gold Zone Launched in Conjunction with Football Media Day

Gophersports.com has launched the Gold Zone today in conjunction with the start of Golden Gopher Football Practice. Glen Mason's press conference was aired lived on the world wide web for the first time (View a Sample Clip). For more information and to register for the Gold Zone, click here.
In addition to today's live coverage of the press conference, Gold Zone members will also be able to view exclusive interviews with players and coaches as they hold their first official practice tonight. Coverage will continue throughout August workouts leading up to Minnesota's season opener at Kent State.
August in the Gold Zone will also bring exclusive coverage of the upcoming volleyball, soccer and cross country seasons. Minnesota's soccer srimmage, featuring the nation's 13th-ranked recruiting class, on Wednesday, Aug. 9, will be shown live in the Gold Zone. Selected volleyball and soccer matches will be aired live in the Gold Zone when September rolls around.
Currently in the Gold Zone, there are more than 30 historical videos available, including highlights from the 1940 and 1960 national championship football seasons. Golden Gopher fans can watch the 1979 hockey team capture its third national championship in six years. Even more historical footage will be added in the coming weeks.
