When/where did you first start dancing?I started in Shakopee, Minnesota at Shari’s Dance Studio, then it changed to Metropolitan Dance Alliance, and finally I ended at Dancers Edge in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
What made you want to dance at the University of Minnesota?I wanted to continue my passion for dance and this team’s reputation is by far the best. I just really wanted to be a part of it.
What is your favorite part about dancing for the Gophers? The hard work ethic you learn to create, you really and truly are a Division 1 athlete. I also love being part of such a positive and talented team, this is the best opportunity I have ever been given.
Who is your favorite Gopher athlete?Goldy!
What is your favorite dance memory? When our team danced finals at Nationals last year, it was by far my favorite moment performing ever! I cannot wait till we get to do it again this year
What dance accomplishment are you most proud of?Probably winning Taping my sophomore year, it was well-earned and the most appreciative I have ever been to dance with such amazing people and friends.
What non-dance accomplishment are you most proud of?When I got into the University of Minnesota.
What do you like to do when you aren’t dancing?Well, I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends. But I love going to get coffee, reading a really good book and of course, shopping!
Do you have any tips for high school dancers who want to continue on in college?

Try out no matter what! You may miss out on having some of the most amazing experiences if you don’t. You never know what long-lasting friendships you could make and how much you would grow not only as a dancer but as an individual in all areas of your life.

*Dance your hardest every time you get the chance, it goes by way to fast not to!
