What made you want to dance at the University of Minnesota?

Knowing that the nation's top dancers are a part of the UMDT is only a fragment of why I wanted to tryout. I've watched the team for years and I can see the passion and love the girls have for dance as well as each other. They've inspired me so much; I wanted to be a part of the family!

When/where did you first start dancing? I started dancing at The Dance Shoppe when I was 3 years old.
What's something that most people don't know about you? I absolutely hate condiments: relish, ketchup, mustard, and mayo...ickkk!
What non-dance accomplishment are you most proud of? Challenging myself in High School with honors and AP courses and being able to graduate with a 4.02 has made me very proud of my academic success.
What do you like to do when you aren't dancing? I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy going up to our cabin to tube and soak up the sunshine! Also, I love to sing, workout, read, and scrapbook!
What are you looking forward to on this year's team? I'm looking forward to all of the times the team gets to spend together, whether it be at practice, getting ready, games, camp, or nationals. I can't wait to enjoy every moment!
Do you have any tips for high school dancers who want to continue on in college? Always, always push yourself. Never be content with where you are and know that with determination, hard work, and passion your opportunities are endless. Lastly, love what you do, and do what you love.
