Beginning during the Summer of 2000, Erika Esterby is in her eight year as an athletic trainer at the University of Minnesota.

Esterby earned her bachelor of science degree in athletic training from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1998 majoring in Athletic Training with a Minor in Business Administration. Continuing in the path of Athletic Training, Esterby furthered her experience during her two years spent at Ball State University where she earned her Masters' Degree in Biomechanics. Esterby completed her Thesis at Ball State University on “Effects of Multiple Ice Treatments on Delayed-Onset Muscle Soreness'. After graduating with her Masters in 2000, Esterby returned to her home-state of Minnesota where she remains the athletic trainer primarily working with Women's Gymnastics and Women's Golf.

Esterby resides in Apple Valley with her husband Matt, and their two son's Kyan and Kasen.
