Consulting Experience

Dr. Nancy Cullen has worked in the field of Sport Psychology over the past eleven years. She is presently a consultant for the University of Minnesota's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics which she started in 2003, and also has a private consulting practice. Dr. Cullen also works as an Organizational Psychology Consultant. She was an internal consultant for Delta Air Lines for 10 years and continues to work with numerous other companies in the areas of Leadership Development and Coaching, Assessment for Selection and Development and Performance Management. She also combines her Sport Psychology and Organizational Psychology skills to complete assessments for selection of draft candidates for professional sports teams.

Counseling Experience

Prior to working for Delta Air Lines, Dr. Cullen worked in the field of Counseling Psychology and specialized in the area of eating disorders, working primarily with individuals suffering from both eating disorders and chemical dependency. She developed a treatment program specifically for these individuals. The program was implemented into several chemical dependency half-ways houses in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. She also worked in a private group practice where she provided treatment for a variety of mental health problems including eating disorders, depression, anxiety and family issues.

Academic Degrees

Dr. Cullen received her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN. She has a master's degree in Counseling Psychology and received a BS degree from the University of Minnesota in Health and Physical Education. Dr. Cullen is also certified as an AASP Sport Psychologist.

Athletic Experience

Dr. Cullen was a Division I Athlete, diving for the University of Minnesota's Women's Swimming and Diving team. She was a national competitor in triathlons and a Boston marathon qualifier. Presently, she is a keen equine enthusiast.
