Wrestlers Compete in St. Cloud at Husky Open

Twelve Golden Gopher wrestlers competed in the 37th annual Husky Open Saturday in St. Cloud, Minn. True freshmen Zach Sanders, Kaleb Young and Sonny Yohn took first place in their respective weight classes, while Joe Grygelko, David Zilverberg and Jake Mellmer also placed in the top five. Gophers Ryan Blake, Joe Murphy, Brian Peterson, Joel Hill, Jared Rickert and Mitch Kuhlman also participated in the event.
Over 250 wrestlers competed in the 37th Husky Open, which featured competitors from schools such as SCSU, UW-LaCrosse, Minnesota State Mankato, Itasca C.C., Ridgewater C.C., Southwest Minnesota State, Minnesota, UW-Eau Claire and Concordia-Moorhead.
