HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITIONS ON OUR CAMPUS
It is that time of year when High School State Tournament games are beginning to occur across the state of Minnesota. Many of these games will be held on college campuses, including the University of Minnesota. Here are a few reminders with regard to contact and evaluations at High School competitions that occur on our campus:

It is that time of year when High School State Tournament games are beginning to occur across the state of Minnesota. Many of these games will be held on college campuses, including the University of Minnesota. Here are a few reminders with regard to contact and evaluations at High School competitions that occur on our campus:
- It is only permissible for our coaches to contact or evaluate prospects participating in athletic events on our campus during a contact or evaluation period. On-campus contact and evaluations are not permitted during quiet periods or dead periods.
- There is no limit on the number of coaches per sport that may evaluate prospects at these competitions.
- Directors of operations and volunteer coaches are permitted to watch these competitions.
- In basketball, each coach that observes the competitions would use a separate evaluation day. If all four coaches observe the games, the program would use four evaluations for each day of competition.
