Gophers Finish 16th At Lady Puerto Rico Classic

The University of Minnesota women's golf team finished in 16th place at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Mar, P.R. Minnesota carded rounds of 320-328-324=972 to finish 99 shots behind tournament winner Auburn.

The Gophers were led by junior Kelli Berns who fired a final round 76 to move into a tie for 61st at 239. She finished one shot ahead of sophomore Young Na Lee who finished tied for 65th at 240. Freshman Christine Herzog tied for 74th at 242 and junior Emily Brand finished 84th at 253 after a final round 79. Playing as an individual, freshman Leslie Grabeman tied for 74th at 243.

The Gophers are back in action next weekend at the Rio Verde Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.
