Gophers Finish 11th at Big Ten Women's Golf Championships

The University of Minnesota women's golf team finished 11th at the Big Ten Championships in East Lansing, Mich. The Gophers carded a final round 316, its best round of the tournament, and finished with a four-round score of 1284, 96 shots behind champion Michigan State.
Individually, the Gophers were led by sophomore Young Na Lee. Lee fired a final round 75 to finish in a tie for 21st at 25-over 313. Junior Kelli Berns finished 47th at 35-over 323 and junior Emily Brand tied for 54th at 41-over 329. Freshman Christine Herzog finished 59th at 46-over 334, two shots ahead of senior Samantha Braschler at 48-over 336. Freshman Leslie Grabeman carded her best round of the tournament with a 77 Sunday and she finished tied for 62nd at 53-over 341.
