EQUAL MEAL AMOUNTS RULE
NCAA Bylaw 16.8.1.2.3 dictates that all student-athletes on the same team must receive identical meal allowances on trips and during vacation periods when they are required to be on campus.
Further, interpretations dictate that the amount given to student-athletes may not exceed the amount given to any institutional staff. Additionally, if a meal is provided for student-athletes by a third party, for example a sponsor, it is impermissible to provide meal money in addition to the meal they are receiving.
