Nate Hanson Claims Northwoods League All-Star Game MVP

Minnesota sophomore third baseman Nate Hanson (Chanhassen, Minn.) claimed the MVP honors for the 13th Annual Northwoods League All-Star game for the North Division. Hanson, who is a member of the All-Star host team Mankato Moondogs, helped lead the North Division team over the South team 3-2 on Wednesday, July 11 at Franklin Rogers Park in Mankato, Minn.
On the night, Hanson was 1-for-3 with two RBI. With the game tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Hanson ripped a two-out, two-run double to left field to give the North a 3-1 lead. The South would add a run for the final score of 3-2. Hanson started at third base for the North Division team, and played the entire game for the winning side.
The Northwoods League All-Star game will be replayed on ESPNU on Friday, July 13 at 8 p.m.
