Big Ten Opponents Announced for 2027 Baseball Season

Minnesota will host Indiana, USC, Iowa, Oregon, and Michigan State in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – The University of Minnesota baseball program has learned their conference matchups for the 2027 season, as announced by the Big Ten Conference today.
The Gophers are set to host Indiana University, the University of Southern California, the University of Iowa, the University of Oregon, and Michigan State University. Minnesota welcomes the 2026 Big Ten Tournament runner-up Oregon Ducks to Minneapolis for the first time since the west coast program joined the conference following the 2024 season. The Gophers will also have the opportunity to close out their conference schedule at home against the Michigan State Spartans.
Minnesota will hit the road throughout 2027 to take on the University of Michigan, Purdue University, the University of Washington, Rutgers University, and Northwestern University. The Gophers hosted Michigan, Washington, and Northwestern in 2026, and will play Purdue and Rutgers for the first time since 2025.
The Gophers are coming off a 30-23 overall record in the 2026 season, their first 30 victory season since reaching the NCAA Super Regionals in 2018. Minnesota closed out the year at 13th place in the conference standings, missing the 2026 Big Ten Tournament.
The complete 2027 season schedule with non-conference opponents is set to be released later this year.
