Welcome to the Golden Gophers’ Summer 2007 Fun in the Sun series. A new Gopher player or coach will be featured every day for the next couple of weeks. We hope you enjoy a glimpse of how your favorite Golden Gophers are spending the summer.

Howdy,
Last summer I had the opportunity to work at a Dude Ranch in Grant, Colo. It’s nestled nicely into the mountains at 9,300 feet!! I had the time of my life! I got the opportunity this summer to go back for two weeks and absolutely loved it!
Well, what's a Dude Ranch you ask? Families get to come and stay in cabins at the ranch for a week at a time and get to participate in activities anywhere from horseback riding to participating in a rodeo!!!
My job this year is like last summer’s; I cleaned the cabins! It’s actually not that bad and it actually gave me the opportunity to get to know the girls that are with me a lot better! There’s no better place to be than in the mountains with no humidity! I also really enjoyed the square dances that I got to participate in (maybe I'll show a few moves at Hoopla????:). I really wish everyone could share this experience with me because it is definitely was a once in a lifetime experience (or a few summers?)!!!
I can’t wait to get back to the Barn and see all of my teammates, but this summer at the ranch is definitely one to remember...I look forward to seeing everyone this season at the Barn....Yeee Hhhaaaa!!!
