Welcome to the Golden Gophers’ Summer 2007 Fun in the Sun series. A new Gopher player or coach will be featured every day for the next couple of weeks. We hope you enjoy a glimpse of how your favorite Golden Gophers are spending the summer.

Greetings Minnesota Basketball fans!
I am enjoying a summer, free of taxi duty, due to teaching my youngest daughter to drive!
All during the spring, Anna and I spent what seemed like an eternity in the car. We drove everywhere together, while I pointed out the finer points of driving a motor vehicle. You know things like what side of the road to drive on, why it’s important to stop at red lights and why you need not use all 8 cylinders when turning.
Anna is a quick learner and when it came time for the test, she passed with flying colors, although I’m not sure how after watching her attempt at parallel parking! It has made my life easier, my insurance bill higher, my nights less restful but my daughter much happier. Now if I can just get that Range Rover out of her head!
