Bryce Webster Granted Release From Men's Basketball Team

University of Minnesota men’s basketball coach Tubby Smith announced today he has granted sophomore center Bryce Webster’s request to be released from his scholarship.
“Bryce has asked for his release and we have granted that request,” Smith said. “We understand his desire to leave the program and we wish him the best of luck the rest of his career.”
As a freshman last season, Webster appeared in 28 games and started seven. He averaged 1.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 9.3 minutes of play.
