University of Minnesota Weekend Events Traffic Advisory

Final paving of University, Washington, Oak, Huron, Beacon and a small section of 23rd Ave., SE near University is scheduled for Sept. 15-16. Once this work is done, all paving for the Stadium Project will be complete with the exception of the intersection of Oak & 6th Street SE.
On Saturday, Sept. 15, University Ave eastbound from just west of Oak to 25th Ave., SE, Oak Street south of University to Beacon, Huron between Washington and University, Washington between Huron and University and a second of Beacon near the intersection of Oak will be paved.
On Sunday, Sept. 16, University westbound from just west of Oak to 25th Ave., Oak Street north of University and a section of 23rd Ave. SE between University & 4th Street SE will be paved.
If you need to drive through the area, allow extra time and/or consider alternate routes. There will be traffic delays and intermittent intersection closures throughout the weekend. Marked detours will be in place and crews will be on had to direct traffic. Signs will direct visitors to event parking.
At least one lane will remain open on all roadways with the exception of Washington between Huron and University which will be closed for 1-2 hours on Saturday between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
