Gold Team Wins Cross Country Intrasquad Meet

Junior Gabriele Anderson led the way for the winning Gold Team, finishing second overall in a time of 19:01.16. Anderson was followed by Megan Duwell, who finished third overall with a time of 19:10.34. Mallory Van Ness, also of the Gold Team, rounded out the top five with a time of 10:13.5 to finish fifth.
The top finisher in the competition was sophomore Jamie Cheever, of the Maroon Team, who covered the course in 18:30.33. Also in the top five finishers for the Maroon Team was Heather Dorniden, who clocked a time of 19:13.5.
Returning All-American Ladia Albertson-Junkans came in eighth overall with a time of 19:25.2.
The Gophers kick off the regular season next weekend with the Oz Memorial Run. The race will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sept 8.
